Matt Pierce


Matt Pierce is an associate at the firm in the area of labor and employment law. Before joining the firm in 2017, Matt practiced at a labor and employment boutique firm in Fort Worth, Texas. He has represented and advised international and local labor unions across diverse fields, including aerospace, transportation, service employees, stagehands, and public sector employees. His union representation has involved litigation in federal and state courts; proceedings before the National Labor Relations Board, the Department of Labor and other administrative agencies; and arbitrations. Matt has also represented individuals in various employment disputes, including discrimination and retaliation under Title VII, the ADA and related statutes; breach of contract and wrongful termination; and employment-related tort actions such as defamation and blacklisting. 

Matt received his J.D. from the University of Texas School of Law. He received a B.A. summa cum laude in Political Science from the University of Oklahoma, where he was a National Merit Scholar. Since he began practicing in 2013, Matt has co-authored several academic papers and presentations, including Service Contract Act: An Overview, Section 4(c) and Federal Enclaves for the AFL-CIO Lawyer Coordinating Committee's 34th Annual Union Lawyers Conference, and Recent Developments Under the National Labor Relations Act for the 26th Annual Labor and Employment Law Institute, State Bar of Texas Labor and Employment Law Section.
